Nadiem Amiri – Return to Bayer Leverkusen without perspective

He went on loan in winter to find his luck at the CFC Genoa.
But after the relegation of his club from Serie A, the Ligurier purchase option for Nadiem Amiri does not apply.
The national player returns to Leverkusen – for the time being.

The constellation would have fit for everyone involved: With the relegation of the CFC Genoa, the Italians would have committed the loaned Nadiem Amiri Festival and Bayer 04 had to transfer the nine million euros fixed in the transfer contract as a transfer. But since Genoa had already relegated in Italy before the last match day, since in series A the direct comparison and not the goal difference counts, this win-win-win situation is gone.

World-Class Backheel Goal - Nadiem Amiri Scores For Leverkusen
Amiri wanted to contractually exclude the mandatory step into the 2nd division of Italy in his loan in January, so that the German international will now be a Bayer professional from July 1st. But that Amiri, who had switched to the factory club for nine million euros from 1899 Hoffenheim in summer 2019, is considered extremely unlikely in Leverkusen.

strong competition in the Werkelf

Not because of the quality of the player, but because the midfield player had strong competition in his ideal position as an eighth or in the offensive role in a double six in Leverkusen and with coach Gerardo Seoane. Which is why he had become initiative himself in winter to increase its game shares with the loan Italy.

At least this part of the idea worked. Amiri completed 13 league games for the CFC Genoa after having missed two games due to health in February, in the second half of the season, stood nine times in the starting eleven and prepared two goals. In the first half of Bayer, it was enough for the starting formation in 13 league inserts (one goal).

Despite an Amiri contract, which is still running until 2024, indicates a separation this summer. Interested parties should be found for the all-rounder, who can refer to five international operations for the German national team.
